Nestled in nature, the outdoor theatre of the small village of Ussel bears its name well. The unspoiled site of its location highlights the style of Greco/Roman theatre. Built within a slope, on a site chosen for its acoustic quality, its steps cut in limestone are laid out in semicircle in front of the stage. Its construction is, however, contemporary. It was born from the artistic sensitivity of the owner of the land who conceived this magic place in the middle of nowhere.
For the pleasure of all, within a pastoral framework, this theatre under stars welcomes various entertainment: Jazz concerts, classical music, operas etc
