Behind the Tourist Office is a team of 8 people, working throughout the year in our three offices in Cazals, Gourdon and Salviac.
During the high season, two additional staff members are on hand to help you make the most of your summer discoveries.
Each with their own skills, sensibility and local knowledge, we work together to welcome, inform and advise, but also to promote local players, bring local projects to life and raise the profile of the 35 communes in the Pays de Gourdon.
To carry out its tasks throughout the year, the Tourist Office team is organised into a number of complementary areas of expertise that are constantly in contact with each other:
Reception: informing, guiding and advising visitors in our three offices, with particular attention paid to listening, providing clear information and personalising responses.
Sales & marketing: designing and promoting holiday offers, managing ticketing, promoting local products and offering services tailored to individual or group customers.
Promotion & communications: promoting the destination via the website, social networks, print publications and press relations, while ensuring that the region’s image is consistent.
Partner relations: listen to local service providers, promote their activities, liaise with them on the ground and support them in networking and developing their skills.
Management & administration: steering the organisation, coordinating projects, managing human and financial resources, and maintaining relations with elected representatives and the 35 local authorities.
Information management: collecting, structuring and updating all tourist data, whether distributed at reception, on the web or via printed media.
Outdoor activities: developing, structuring and publicising the area’s outdoor activities: hiking, trail running, mountain biking, gravel, fishing, swimming, climbing, etc.
The Tourist Office has its own dedicated brand, Quercy Outdoor, with a website and a free mobile app listing signposted routes, points of interest, levels of difficulty and all the practical information you need to enjoy the great outdoors, independently and in complete safety.
